What We’re All About
We are Green Mountain Collective, a regional (Southern Vermont) Mountain bike race and ride development program for anyone from greater Manchester, north to Ludlow, or west to Chester, VT. We will focus our schedule around the NEYC races in the spring/summer, VTYC and races in the late summer/fall, and starting in summer, 2027- ESC Enduro races.
Our mission is to give kids from local communities athletic, academic, leadership, and stewardship skills to help them improve their sense of selves, their communities, and the sport of mountain biking- a life long activity. We aim to develop successful racers, riders, and teammates in a safe, inclusive, and FUN environment. Most of all, we bring the stoke for the great sport of mountain biking and want to share that stoke with the families of our region.

Our Team
Jason Rickles
Program Director/Head Coach (DEVO)
Coach Rickles is a career teacher (high school ELA) who began his coaching career as an assistant lacrosse coach in Waltham, MA, and then shifted to mountain bike coaching when he started the GMMTB program at Green Mountain Union HS/MS. He has coached for over a decade in the NNEMTB Interscholastic league, as well as the Vermont Youth Cycling and New England Youth Cycling series. Coach Rickles is a certified Level 1 BICP coach who runs the GMC DEVO program for new and novice riders. He lives in Jamaica, VT, where he is honored to serve on the board of directors for Jamaica Area Mountain Bike Alliance, after serving two terms as a director on the Vermont Mountain Bike Association board. He is proud to realize the goal of bringing a top flight youth mountain bike development program to southern Vermont. When not coaching or teaching, Coach Rickles loves to spend time with his partner Heather and her pooch WIlliam, as well as ride mountain bikes, snowboards, and nordic skis all over the beautiful terrain of the Green Mountains.
Jordan Eliastam
Enduro Race Director/Head Coach (Enduro)
Coach Jordan is a former engineer and world traveler whose time is now mostly spent in Vermont on bikes, snowboards, and doing all things Dad and coach. He played lacrosse all through his youth, but once he found mountain bikes, split-boards, and mountains, he never looked back. Coach Jordan spent three seasons coaching with Woodstock MTB before taking his talents closer to home in Chester, VT to coach with GMMTB at Green Mountain Union HS. Now he brings a wealth of downhill and big mountain trail riding experience to Green Mountain Collective as our enduro race program director and coach. Jordan is stoked to teach the youth of Southern Vermont some rad skills and help them develop the same love for trails and mountains that he has. When he’s not coaching or sending it, Jordan lives in Windham with his partner Bea, their two GMC racers Oli and Theo, and their doggo Omar.
Will Reed
Cross Country Race Director/Head Coach (XC)
Coach Will was born and raised in Vermont, and despite spending much of his formative years traveling, his connection to southern Vermont was always strong enough to bring him home.
An early adopter of mountain biking in the 1980s, he introduced his wife, Sarah, and their daughters, Ellery and Ruby (a founding GMC racer), and dog Utley to the sport. As a family, they also enjoy alpine and cross-country skiing, hiking, and traveling together. Coach Will is excited to be part of this new adventure with GMC. In his professional life, Will is the General Manager of Vermont Foam Insulation, as well as a nordic coach and board member with the West River Sports Association, an exceptional organization dedicated to keeping youth sports fun, accessible, and affordable for families throughout the mountain towns of Southern Vermont. Will also serves on the Landgrove Selectboard, where he enjoy giving back to the community that has given so much to him and his family.
